Thyme: it’s the favourite seasoning herb and grows in woody stemmed upright bush.

THYME FRITTERS

  • 20ml 4 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 50ml flour
  • 190ml sour cream
  • Juice of 1lemon
  • Salt and pepper
  • 5ml baking powder
  • Cooking oil

Directions:

Mix all ingredients. Heat pan with little oil on stove. Drop spoonfuls of batter into oil, fry and turn to a golden brown. Drain on crumpled brown paper and serve immediately .Enjoy as snack or with vegetable soup.
